HSI LUI BUDDHIST TEMPLE - Tour & Lunch                                   March 11, 2009

Depart 8:15 AM - Return 5:30 PM                                   Board motorcoach at the Museum

This is a delightful opportunity to tour the largest Buddhist complex in the Western Hemisphere. The Hsi Lui Buddhist
Temple sits amid fifteen acres of breathtaking beauty overlooking Hacienda Heights Heights . The temple's Ming and Qing
dynasties architecture is faithful to the traditional style of buildings and gardens of ancient Chinese monasteries. This
working temple was completed in 1988 at a cost of 300 million dollars. After strolling around the elegant grounds guests
will enjoy a delicious vegetarian buffet lunch.

Time permitting, on the way home we will visit the Los Angeles Fashion Institute to admire the beautiful costumes from
 the previous year's Academy Awards.

LOS ANGELES REVISITED                April 29, 2009 (to be confirmed)

Morning Departure                                     Board motorcoach at the Museum

Los Angeles, with a downtown core rich in history, art, and architecture, is much more than just the sprawling suburbs that most of us are familiar with. Take a day to explore Los Angeles like a tourist and you’ll be amazed at the the hidden gems that most locals never see. Our favorite Los Angeles guide, Jonathan, will show us downtown as few Southern Californians have experienced, including a ride on the newly re-opened Angeles Flight, where Jonathan leads us through the stories of Bunker Hill, and then to Carroll Avenue where we stroll down the street past historic Victorian homes. From modern office towers to Art Deco styles, you’ll have a new appreciation for the City of Angels.
